WIRED ETHERNET CONNECTION Option for Connecting your Kaleidoscope Computer to the Internet:

If you are connecting to the Internet via a wired connection (Ethernet cord) – click on the ‘Help’ button in the upper right corner, then click on the ‘Network Connection’ icon to ‘add’ your wired network. Click on the ‘Add’ button to the right of the blank wired network bar and give your network a unique name, then click ‘ok’ and exit the screen. Ensure your newly named wired network is present in the wired drop down menu, and click ‘Connect’. To make sure your wired network is set up correctly, click on the arrow to the right of the Refresh button in your Network Manager, then select ‘Preferences’ from the drop down menu. Make sure the following boxes are checked “Always show wired interface”, “Always switch to a wired connection when available” & “Automatically reconnect on network connection loss”. (See images below)

NOTE: Your Kaleidoscope computer may connect to your Wired Network automatically (dependent on Kaleidoscope computer model).

NOTE: If you are using Kaleidoscope at a seminar/expo in a hotel or convention center, the Internet provider may block your signal until you accept their terms & conditions. Press the F12 Key on your keyboard to bring up a browser that will automatically open the Internet provider’s acceptance form if your signal is being blocked. If prompted, review and accept their terms. Then close the browser window.
